The short answer: Apps people use for kink and BDSM dating include FET and KinkLife, built around kink; Feeld, where kink is one of many Desires; KinkD, KINK People, and Kinkoo; Recon, for gay and bi men into gear and fetish; and AseeksB, a text-first personal ads app with role tags. FetLife is the community many people use alongside them. They differ most in how a conversation starts, what’s free, and whether couples can join together.
We checked these apps on October 26, 2026, using each one’s US App Store listing, help pages, and terms, linked in each entry below. Prices are in-app purchases on the US App Store and vary by country; where a listing doesn’t say which price goes with which period, we give the lowest as “listed from.” AseeksB publishes this page and is one of the apps compared.
| App | Built for | How you start | How a conversation starts | Free | Paid (US App Store) | Couples | Platforms |

| KINK People | Adults into kink and power dynamics | A profile photo showing your face; selfie verification | After a match; Gold lets you write first | Free, with coins and Gold for more | KINK Gold, listed from $6.99 | Not documented | iOS |
| Kinkoo | People exploring alternative lifestyles | A profile; photo verification encouraged | Not stated | Free, with limits not stated | $15.99 a month | Yes | iOS, Android |
| KinkLife | BDSM dating, for singles and couples | A profile; events you can post for free | Not stated | Posting events | VIP, $12.99 a month | Yes | iOS, Android |

| AseeksB | Personal ads of all kinds; kink-friendly, with role tags | A written ad; photos optional; up to 5 of 90 role tags | Reply to an ad; one message until the poster replies | Post, browse, reply, and search kink-friendly posts; one active post | Supporter, from $7.99 a week; adds search by role | Posts can be marked as coupled | iOS, Android |
“Not stated” and “not documented” mean the app’s own listing and help pages didn’t say. KINK People’s website says you can message without a match, while its App Store listing makes that a paid feature; we went by the listing.
Going by how each app describes itself:
| If you want | Where to start |
|---|---|
| A kink and BDSM app with a forum, live chat, and local meetups | FET |
| Profile-based dating where kink is one part, and a way to link partners | Feeld |
| Your role and dynamic up front, on a profile | KINK People (iOS only), KinkLife, KinkD, or Kinkoo |
| Gear and fetish, for gay, bi, queer, trans, and curious men | Recon |
| A personal ad in your own words, with role tags and a say in who sees it | AseeksB |
| Community, groups, events, and writing, alongside any of these | FetLife |
FET, listed as FET: Kinky BDSM Dating App, calls itself the kink and BDSM dating app for the fetish crowd. Photos are optional, verification is free and optional, and its terms say it doesn’t guarantee a member’s real identity. Besides messaging, it has a forum, live chat, and listings for local meetups and workshops, and a couple can share one profile. The free membership has limits; paid Premium, VIP, and Dominatrix plans start at $10.99 for a month. Its website also offers an Android download outside Google Play, which it calls the full, unfiltered app.
Feeld, now listed as Feeld: Open-Minded Dating App 18+, is for open-minded people exploring dating, and kink is part of it rather than the whole of it: profiles carry Desires, a fixed list of more than 30 that includes bondage, role play, and BDSM. You need at least one photo, and Feeld checks your age when you sign up. A chat opens after a mutual like; Pings let you write first, and Majestic, $29.99 for 30 days, adds unlimited likes and one free Ping a day. You can link your profile with up to 5 people. More in our page on apps like Feeld.
KinkD describes itself as an alternative lifestyle and relationship app for singles interested in exploring unique dynamics; its Google Play listing also mentions couples. Discovery is card-based. You can start one private chat a day for free, and chatting with mutual matches is free. KinkD VIP is listed from $12.99, without periods.
KINK People calls itself a free, safe, and discreet dating space for adults into kink and power dynamics, where you show your role, interests, and boundaries. Its FAQ asks for a profile photo that shows your face and verifies you with two selfies. Its App Store listing makes messaging before a match part of KINK Gold, listed from $6.99, and it also sells coins. It is on iOS only.
Kinkoo says it is more than a dating app: a social network for people exploring alternative lifestyles, open to individuals, couples, and friends. It asks members to verify their photo after they sign up. Membership is $15.99 a month or $38.99 for three months.
KinkLife, listed as Kinky BDSM Dating: KinkLife, calls itself a BDSM dating app for singles, couples, and people exploring. You can post an event or activity for free and have added a verification feature. VIP is $12.99 a month or $69.99 a year.
Recon calls itself the world’s biggest kink and fetish dating app and community, and says it is exclusively for gay, bi, queer, trans, and curious men into gear and fetish. You browse profiles online now, nearby, or in other cities, filtered by fetish, and it lists events. Free members see only photos in a profile’s main gallery; Premium, $12.99 for 30 days, adds unlimited profile views, all public galleries, and advanced filters. For apps like Grindr and Sniffies, see our comparison.
AseeksB is a text-first personal ads app for people who need more room than a profile gives them. You write an ad in your own words, saying your role, dynamic, structure, and limits, tag it with up to 5 of the 90 role tags (what each role means), and choose who can see it by gender and age. People reply to the ad directly: one message until you reply, then the conversation is open. Photos are optional, and must be of you. Posting, browsing, replying, and searching for kink-friendly posts are free, with one active post; Supporter, from $7.99 a week, adds up to 7 active posts, unlimited post views, search by role, and the option to require a photo before someone can message you.
Also listed: Kinkr, whose VIP plan is $14.99 a month, has you pick your kinks and roles when you register.
FetLife is where a lot of the kink community already lives: profiles, groups, events, writing, and local scenes. It describes itself as a social network rather than a dating app, and Australia’s eSafety Commissioner notes that it runs as a mobile-friendly website, with a paid membership for extras. Many people keep FetLife for community and use a dating or personal ads app alongside it. We cover how the two fit together in FetLife and AseeksB.
Non-monogamy is not one thing: open, poly, solo poly, hierarchical, kitchen-table, parallel, looking alone, looking together. Apps built around it include #open, listed as #Open: ENM IRL, which focuses on non-monogamy and swinging, is free to match and chat, and adds a supporting membership from $9.99 a month; Feeld, above; and Nymph, which lets you link up to 10 people to your profile. We compare them in apps like Feeld, and swinger sites in swinger apps and sites compared. On AseeksB, a written post leaves room to say your structure, your boundaries, and whether you’re looking alone or together.
Every app on this page is free to join, and each limits something on the free tier. KinkD allows one new chat a day; Feeld lets you chat after a mutual like and charges for Pings to write first; KINK People sells Gold and coins for messaging before a match; and Recon’s free members see only main-gallery photos. On AseeksB, posting, browsing, replying, and searching for kink-friendly posts are free, and searching by role is part of Supporter.
AseeksB isn’t a kink social network. It’s personal ads: you say what you want, in your own words, and the people it’s meant for reply. Post yours and become part of the community. If there’s a feature you’d want, tell us through the app, from the profile tab; we’d love to hear it. And if you know people who’d like a text-first way to meet, share this page with them.
Say your role, dynamic, and limits in your own words, tag it with roles, and choose who sees it. Free on iOS and Android; the key features are free, and Supporter is there when you want more.
It depends on how you want to meet. FET and KinkLife are built around kink and BDSM, Feeld is a broader open-minded app where kink is one set of Desires, Recon is for gay, bi, queer, trans, and curious men into gear and fetish, and AseeksB is a text-first personal ads app where you write what you want and tag it with roles. The table on this page compares how each one starts a conversation and what it costs.
All of the apps on this page are free to join, and each limits something on the free tier: KinkD allows one new chat a day, Feeld lets you chat after a mutual like but charges for Pings to write first, and Recon’s free members see only main-gallery photos. On AseeksB, posting, browsing, replying, and searching for kink-friendly posts are free; searching by role is part of Supporter.
